RSE
‘RSE is part of the mission of all Catholic schools to educate the whole person. It should be carried out as part of the holistic education which seeks to form as well as inform young people in preparation for adult life.’ (CES)
Curriculum Intent
Our RSE curriculum provides pupils with an understanding of Relationships and Sex Education that is underpinned by our Christian faith. The Life to the Full programme has been carefully designed with Catholicism at its core. Its use has been approved by the Diocese of Salford and its content is rooted in a Christian understanding of the human person.
Our policy and curriculum respects parents as the first educators. The Online Parent Portal contains an overview of the programme, guidance for parents, and activities that can be done at home.

Curriculum Implementation
RSE lessons are taught once a fortnight throughout the academic year. The following modules are covered within each year group:
Module 1 Created and Loved by God
Module 2 Created to Love Others
Module 3 Created to Live in Community
Curriculum Impact
We are preparing our pupils for their future adult life by providing them with a secure understanding of relationships and sex education. This is underpinned by our Catholic faith and virtues as we develop pupils' understanding that our deepest identity is as a child of God – created, chosen and loved by God. We hope to provide them with a secure foundation so their future selves can make informed and respectful decisions.
